The Delta is located in Northern California and is called the “Delta” because it forms a triangle of waterways from Sacramento (North) to Stockton (East) to Benicia (West), and Tracy to the South. Cities and towns such as Old Sacramento, Stockton, Freeport, Locke, Walnut Grove, Isleton, Ryde, Rio Vista and the many others listed cast a certain magical spell upon visitors. It is not difficult to visualize how they were in historical times 130 years ago. Some have changed little. Operating out ofout of Pittsburg, CA, the charters fish up the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers for huge White Sturgeon and spring and fall run Striped Bass. Fishing from October through April, they offer you the chance to target one of the largest and oldest freshwater fish on the planet, a 20-foot relic from a lost age of monsters.
